Chattanooga, TN

We arrived in Chattanooga with serious issues! We had driven through thunder, lightning, wind and rain with freeway traffic slowing to 40 mph at times. It was a tiring day. Upon checking into the dirtiest room smelling of cigarette smoke just finished me off! I dropped my iPad on the concrete, splintered the screen and chipped the frame.
After taking Charlie out, I googled Apple Stores. Simply Mac was located within a mile, thank goodness as traffic was at its Friday evening peak! The young man who served me told me my options, and I chose to buy a new iPad Pro with pencil. Traveling without the iPad wasn't even an option. I went and found some dinner (pizza) while the manager transferred all my apps and photos. I was treated so well with many 'Yes, Mams' and smiles. Casey chose a heavy duty case for me and talked me into Apple Care just in case I were to drop this one! I have a soft spot for high school kids working on a Friday evening!
I capped off the evening back in the motel with a Skype with Nicole and Olivia in Wanaka. On my new iPad! Beautiful ending to a trying day. Obviously Jan's guidance supported me, too. The attitude I carry is that of a much younger explorer. Lots of smiles and comments about my cute dog meet me wherever I meet people. Fun!
